Remember the yummy Cream Cheese-Pecan Icing we made for the Carrot Cake? Here’s another simple icing made with confectioner’s sugar. If you’ve never made desserts with cardamom, this could be the beginning of something grand. SAM
1/2 cup confectioner’s sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
2 tablespoons milk
In a small bowl, combine the confectioner’s sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, and milk to make a thin icing. Drizzle over warm cookies or cake.
Makes 1/2 cup.

I would never have thought of cinnamon icing, but the more I think about it, the more I think it wouldwork! And I do have this thing for cinnamon buns!! And I’m pretty sure that we have cardomon in the spice drawer as well. Just not sure how fresh it is. Might just have to replace it.
Cinnamon buns! They’re so good they have to be good for you! Keep reading. I think recipes will be posted.
Cardamom will get stale. If you don’t use a lot of it, it’s probably better to keep it in the freezer. We put cardamom seeds in coffee every morning, so we use it fast enough to keep it fresh. But it’s really wonderful in desserts.
